Ashley’s POV
I woke up with my phone alarm, I looked up at the clock and
start going to bathroom I straightened my hair a bit and put my blue strap
shirt and black jeans. I slip my converse on and heading to downstairs, I went
to the kitchen to saw a not on the fridge that say “I went home last night to
pack my bag for my business trip, I went for only 3 month that means I’ll don’t
be home at your Birthday sorry sweety. I left you my credit card, don’t threw a
party if I’m not at home and be a good girl ~Love Mom” another business trip
that’s what I thought, she promised me to be at home for my birthday but what
did I get alone at home. I ate my cereal wash it off and goes to my car, I
grabbed my phone and my key car. I went to my driveway and headed to Jasmine to
pick her up as usual.
-ATSCHOOL-
I parked my can in the parking lot and got out from the car
I locked my car, and goes to the gate hand-in-hand with Jasmine. I went to my
locker grabbed some books and suddenly someone tap my shoulder, I jumped a
little and turn around. It was Nick he is my crush since we’re 7th
grade Nick: “Hey, Ash” Me: “Hey” I smiled to him. She flashes his smile back.
“what’s up?” I stay acted cool, because the inside my body I want to scream and
jumping around, Nick: “Nothing much, just meet me in the park after school.”
Me: “Oh, okay.” I smiled. He smiled back and wink at me while he leave to his
crew. Jasmine came to me rushing. Jasmine: “What happened back there? Is that
Nick? What did he do to you? Answer me.” Me: “How can I answer you while you
still ask me with a question.” I laughed. Me: “There’s nothing happened, yes it
was Nick and he just ask me to meet him at the park after school.” Jasmine
mouth dropped. Jasmine: “Oh. My. God” Me: “I know right.” She wants to said
something but the bell ring. Me: “Let’s go” we got to the math class. And I sit
in my usual sit, in math I only sit by myself Jasmine sit in the front row. Mr.
Johnson came in with a girl behind him, I think she’s new here I look around
the class and the empty sit is only beside me. It’s really great I can have a
new friend. Mr. J: Class, we have a new student here” “duhh” someone said Mr.
J: “Excuses me! Okay as what I say we have new student here, make her feel
comfortable. And you can introduce yourself.” Girl: “Okay, Hey everyone I’m
Katie Hamilton, you can call me Katie I’m from Singapore, and that’s it.” She
smile to us. “Where I should sitting in Mr.Johnson?” Mr.J: “You can sit beside
Mrs. Robert, Mrs. Robert raises your hands up.” I raised my hands and she walk
up to me. Me: “Hey I’m Ashley.” Katie: “Katie.” She smile to me. Me: “So, want
to join me at lunch with Jasmine?” I said while pointing to where Jasmine is.
Katie: “Sure, I’d love to.”
-ATLUNCH-
The school bell ring and it’s lunch time. I went to my
locker and catch up with Katie and Jasmine, me and Katie have 1, 4, 5 and 7. We
went to cafeteria and picked our lunch, I just take a can of sprite I don’t
felt hungry at all maybe I can ate when
I’m at home. We barely just talk at lunch time nothing much happened back
there, when I see Nick he smiled to me and I smiled back I just remembered that
I have to met him at the park after school.

I said bye to Jasmine and Katie and said sorry to Jasmine
that I can’t take her home and she’s don’t mind. I went to my car and drove off
to the park, I looked around there’s just some people hanging around it’s kinda
weird that there is not much people in the park. I sat on the swing and swayed
back and forth, not long after swaying someone sit on other side of the swing I
looked up and it was Nick. Nick: “Hey, Ash.” Me: “Hey, so what’s bring you made
me go to here.” Nick: “I gotta ask you something.” He said with a serious tone.
Me: “Okay. Shoot.” My heart was pounding hard right now. Nick: “Want you go on
a date with me today?” I think my heart just stopped. I keep silent for a
moment. Nick: “I just think about it lately that I like you, but if you don’t
want to go it’s ok with me.” He said sadly. Me: “I’d love to, what time?” I
said and smiled. Nick: “You don’t need to accepted that if you don’t want to.”
Me: “I do, really do. So what time.” It’s true I really like to go on date with him, he’s my crush
how can I don’t take that chance. Nick: “I’ll picked you up at 7, wear
something casual.” Me: “Okay.” He smiled at me. Nick: “I’ll text you later.
Bye” Me: “Bye.” I waved bye to him. And he waved back.
When I got home I immediately texted Jasmine. ‘Come over.
Come over. Come over.’ ‘Okay, okay, be there in 5’ I take a really quick
shower, really quick it’s only 4PM so I have 3 hour to get ready. Then the
doorbell rang. I ran to downstairs and opened the door and I jumped up and down
as I saw her. She saw me and joined me to jump. Jasmine: “Why are we jumping?”
Me: “Because I have a great news.” Jasmine: “What is it?” she said still
jumping with me. We are like a dumb. Me: “We have to stop jumping first.”
Jasmine: “Why?” She asked dumbly. Me: “Because if we didn’t stop, I can’t tell
you” I said while laughing. And we stop jumping. Crazy right? I allowed Jasmine
to go in and let her sit on the couch. Jasmine: “So what’s up?” Me: “You know
Nick right?” I asked her. Jasmine: “Of course I know the one that guard the
school, right?” Is she dumb or something. I still confused why am I with her,
but that’s made her special. Me: “No, silly. The one that asked me to met him
after this school.” I told her. She made an ‘O’ face, now she remembered. Me:
“Now you remembered.” I said sarcastically. Jasmine: “Yeah, what about him?”
she asked. Me: “Well, when we met up at the park. He asked me to go on a date
with me…” “What do you say?” she asked curious. Me: “Let me finish.” “Sorry.”
Me: “Well, I said yes.” Her mouth dropped and she start attacked me with a hug.
We both laughed. Jasmine: “So when this date will be?” Me: “Tonight, he will
pick me up at 7.” I said. She looked at her watch and grabbed my hand and took
me upstairs. Me: “Haha, What are you doing?” I asked still laughing. Jasmine:
“Made you perfect for you first date with Nick.” She opened my bedroom door.
Me: “Okay.” She did my hair and my make-up, I put blue-purple strapped long
sleeve shirt black jeans and my purple supra. I looked myself in the mirror, I
looked pretty good. It’s 6.30 and I have 30 minutes until Nick came, so we went
to downstairs and watched TV. Jersey Shore rollback played. We watch them for
the last 30 minutes and the doorbell rang, I jumped and get excited cause I
know it’ Nick and when I opened the door I saw him standing with a bucket of
roses, I thanked him and put it on the vase he saw Jasmine and gave her a small
wave. Nick: “Ready?” Me: “Yep, Leggo.” He grabbed my hand, and headed to his
car I took a quick glance back home and saw Jasmine go out from my house and
mouthed ‘Goodluck.’ I mouthed back ‘Thankyou’ Nick opened the passenger door and
closed it behind. Such a gentlemen. Me: “So, where to go?” I asked him. He took
a glance at me since he was driving. Nick: “We’ll go to this carnival in town.” Me: “Sounds good.”
He took another turn and there’s the carnival is. He got out
from the car and rushed to my side before I can opened my door he had opened
it. Me: “Why, thank you” I flashes my smile. He smiled to me and said ‘No
problem’. He grabbed my hand and we headed to the front gate we went to some
food court first and then we go to this merry-go-round it’s really fun tough we
had a lot of fun tonight he got me a big bear from some games, he’s so sweet to
me he makes me feel like I’m the only girl in the universe.
I got choco-vanilla Ice cream and Nick got a chocolate Ice
cream, we found we had a lot of common. It’s a little silence between us, but
not an awkward silence just silence. Not long Nick finally broke the silence.
“Ash” Me: “Hmm..” I answered while I licked my Ice cream. Nick: “I thinking
about this everytime, and I think it’s the right time…” there’s a lot of
silence in that. But I prefer to stay quiet. “…Do you want to be my
girlfriend?” Girlfriend?! I think he just said Girlfriend! Cause he said it kinda
whispered. Me: “What?” I asked nicely, pretend that I didn’t heard him. And I’m
sure that he said Girlfriend. Nick: “Want you be my girlfriend?” O.M.G I want
to scream. Now he made me facing him. Me: “Yes.” I kinda whispered when I said
that, but sure enough he can heard me. Nick: “Omg. Thank youuu.” He said while
hugging me. OMG it’s the best day I ever had. I gotta tell Jasmine when I got
home.
